Gotta have a J-O-B...
New job is the big news here. Been installed about three weeks and am liking it very much. I wasn't actually looking for a job. This one kind of came to me. Of course, once it did it then took months of interviewing and negotiating to get here. I haven't had time to really see how things roll here but it seems like a good, stable company. In my current position, I could actually see myself being content to not move (up or out) for many years. I haven't been in a spot like that since two companies ago. The last one was not bad at all, just not as good as this one. It was sad to say bye to those folks (my boss included) but it had to be done.
I'm back to managing projects on my own, got an office again (thank God), etc.
What else?
-I celebrated by seeing Dylan on two nights back to back. Great shows with the coolest lighting effects I've ever seen. Wish I had a picture. Deep red curtains open over a blue/black backdrop with a starry sky projection silhouetting Bob and the band. Very cool.
-I signed up a new martial arts place. 1st time in many years. Its right around the corner so I figured if I was ever gonna do it, this was the time.
-Lucasfilm and Fox have finally caved in and are going to release the original trilogy THE WAY GOD INTENDED! No changes, just the movies as they appeared back in the day. Oh yes.
-Got satellite radio (XM) and it is awesome! Dylan's show was the killer ap but it is totally worth it on its own. I'm catching up on so much music it is amazing.
