So We're Going to Norway...
Did I already mention that in some aside? Anyway, caution is being thrown to the wind in typical Lauki fashion. Just bought a new car, check. Still have summer travel bills, check. Going to one of the most expensive countries in the world, check.
Oh well, reckless spending is the backbone of our economy after all. Mainly though, this will probably be the last big trip we can take for a long time.
I'm really looking forward to it. We'll be there for our anniversary which will be pretty cool (no pun intended), the scenery is supposed to be as good as it gets anywhere and it's about the opposite of anyplace I've been before.
Things I hope to do there:
-Hiking/Biking
-Kayaking
-Whale Safari (hopefully)
-See real Viking ships and assorted artifacts
-See The Scream
-Buy a cool weapon of some sort
We'll be gone from the 10th of Sep to the 21st. This, of course, means we'll be packing our bags late, late at night on the 9th and barely making our flight the next morning.

All Work and No Play Makes Kiki Very, Very Tired...
I have put in some serious hours in the last two weeks. Hours like I haven't put in since my big project at the last company (Feb, 2002- hard to forget). This has been very instrumental in reminding me that I am getting older. Today I'm just kind of looking at my computer as the drool drips out of my mouth which is bad not just because it's gross, but becuase I still have a lot of things to do. How did I ever do this on a regular basis back at my first place? It seems completely impossible now. Months on end of this kind of overtime (not that I get paid overtime) would kill me today. They'd have to bury me with keyboard marks still on my face. Vacation in September. One of my two big projects should be done by then. Will I last that long? I hope so because the tickets are non-refundable.
